Together, my brothers, my sisters, we are going to begin a new struggle, a sublime struggle, which will lead our country to peace, prosperity, and greatness. Together, we are going to establish social justice…make the Congo a nation, happy and free           - Patrice Emery Lumumba.

 Vision

Where there is no vision the people perish” (Prov. 29:18)
What the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) needs is a new direction and new leaders. At this defining moment the vision of the CIC is to help the DRC establish strong institutions of governance; democratic, incorruptible and effective, manned by new leaders; men and women untainted by personal ambition, greed and past corruption; that are able to build and sustain a new DRC, free and prosperous; where every Congolese has the opportunity to make his most profound dreams come true in his time, and so lay the groundwork for improving the lives of his children and succeeding generations. The healing effort of these institutions and leaders shall emphasize investment in the greatest Congolese resource, the people.  Real change and ultimately real stability and security, will come from the bottom up, when every citizen has a personal stake, which he or she values almost above all, in the pattern of life of his locality.  It is in this context, that of providing the means to nurture and sustain the peace by supporting basic efforts at human capacity building on farms and in villages, in small businesses in towns and cities; and, through education at every level, that the DRC will first be healed and then, prosper.  CIC emphasizes that this vision is not exclusive, it is truly national and reflects the values and beliefs of Congolese; it is rooted in the principles stated "Multis e Gentibus Viris" (Strength Arises from the Work of Many). The CIC recognizes that together Congolese can and will build a great DRC that will endure to the pride of their children.  For more information about the Vision of the CIC, please contact info@cic11.net
